Message from the Chair
I invite Albertans of all ages to join in the celebrations surrounding Seniors’ Week 2012.
As the Chair of the Seniors Advisory Council for Alberta, I know how important seniors are to this province. When I speak with people in my community and around Alberta, I’m constantly reminded of the many important and dynamic roles that seniors play in our lives.
On behalf of the Council, I encourage you to share in my enthusiasm for celebrating seniors in our province. So, why not host an event in your community? Get together with your town, local businesses, seniors centres — you name it — and create something special to celebrate seniors in your area!
Council can help you plan your events, and we can help you promote your local Seniors’ Week activities to the province by posting them on our public website.
