Volunteer Police Information Check Program

New program covers costs of police information checks for volunteers dealing directly with at-risk individuals

The Government of Alberta stands behind the many dedicated volunteers and non-profit organizations in this province and is committed to working with them to continue to build on our province's already strong sense of community spirit.

Non-profit organizations that deal directly with children, seniors and people with disabilities can now have the costs of police information checks covered for certain volunteers.

The new Volunteer Police Information Check Program will be administered in collaboration with Volunteer Alberta and will enable non-profit organizations to direct more funding towards core programs and services that benefit Albertans.
