Volunteering
Volunteers play a significant role in the lives of people supported at Michener Services. Many lasting friendships have developed over the years because people have taken the time to get involved with those who live here.
Many of the 400+ volunteers have chosen to be involved in Michener's Volunteer Friend program. These people are matched with individuals who have similar interests and they spend time together in a variety of settings.
Other volunteers are part of the Placement Program in which they participate in more structured settings with staff supervision.
