PDD Provincial Community Leadership Awards

Message from the Minister

Each year, I have the distinct pleasure of presenting the Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PDD) Provincial Community Leadership Awards to individuals, families, and organizations who are committed to building welcoming communities that are inclusive of people with developmental disabilities.

This year, on September 13, 2011 at a special ceremony in Leduc, I was very pleased to have the opportunity to meet the nominees and winners and thank them in person for the work they do to make their communities inclusive places for people with developmental disabilities. These award winners teach us that everyone benefits when we live in a society that respects and values the gifts that each unique individual brings, and for that, they deserve to be honoured.
