Direct Deposit

All payments shall be made via direct deposit for seniors who are newly eligible for the program.

Direct deposit offers the following advantages:

  • your deposit will be on time
  • your payment will not be lost, stolen or damaged in the mail
  • your payment will not be subject to postal delays
  • your benefit will automatically be deposited into your account if you are ill, on vacation or traveling

You have two options in providing Alberta Seniors Benefit your direct deposit information:

  1. Provide a blank cheque with your name and current address preprinted by your financial institution. Please print VOID across the front of the blank cheque and include your personal health number on the cheque.
  2. OR

  3. If you do not have a preprinted personalized cheque or you want the payment to go to a savings account, print and complete a direct deposit form (portable document format file). If you do not have Adobe Reader to open portable document format files, you can download it for free, or call the Alberta Supports Contact Centre at 1-877-644-9992 for the form to be mailed to you.

When you send your direct deposit information, you can mail it to the address below or fax it to 780-422-5954. Please be sure to include your name and your personal health number on any information you send to Alberta Seniors Benefit.
