Lodge Assistance Program

The Lodge Assistance Program (LAP) provides financial assistance to lodges administered by provincial management bodies (operating under the Alberta Housing Act). Funding is provided through a per diem grant for each eligible resident.

On February 1, 2011 the LAP grant increased to $8.75 per eligible resident per day.

Special Services Grant

A Special Services Grant is also provided to lodges administered by provincial management bodies for residents who are eligible for the LAP grant but who require additional services from lodge staff, such as extra housekeeping, mobility assistance or special dietary needs. The Special Services Grant, provided in addition to the LAP grant for eligible residents, increased on February 1, 2011 to $3.70 per eligible resident per day.

These programs are only available to provincial management bodies.
